Delbert and Anita Vaughn are the owners of Helpful Hearts Pet & Personal Assistants. We believe little things really do mean a lot, that just a little help can go a long way in helping you lead a more productive life. We strive to provide the best pet sitting, dog walking and personal assistance service in the Dallas area, including Highland Park, University Park, Oak Lawn, Las Colinas and areas in between. Each and every one of our pet and human clients is important to us and close to our hearts. So, whether you’re looking for pet sitting, dogs or cats, in the Dallas area, dog walking in the Las Colinas area or personal assistance in the Park Cities area, we are here to help.
Our pet family includes 3 Chihuahuas named Sophie, Nugget and Cherry (our other one, Bear, has since passed). They are our babies. You will see Cherry and her mother Anita featured on our pet services page. We also help our own family members with their pet family that also included an African Grey Parrot who knew us by name. Additionally, our friends frequently ask us to sit with their pet kids. We are known for going out of our way to help others and we will do the same for you, your family and fur babies.
Delbert has been in the nursing field for 30 years and is known for going above and beyond to help people lead more productive lives. He cared for both his parents with chronic illnesses for 20 years. He has a heart for caring for and helping those that need a little extra attention.
Anita has been a volunteer in the deaf community in Dallas for almost 30 years and is a skilled interpreter in American Sign Language. She worked at a payroll company for 13 years and was recognized as a customer service oriented employee with a desire to produce quality, error free work. Now she is incorporating these qualities in her services to each and every one of her clients, pet and human alike, so as to make each experience with Helpful Hearts Pet & Personal Assistants a completely satisfactory experience. She is trained in Pet CPR and First Aid.
